ABOUT THE SHOW:​​​​

"THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!"

Join our cast of twenty-two young people, aged 6 to 16, in ACT’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.  OZ  will delight children of all ages as Dorothy and her newfound friends journey on a quest to find heart, courage, brains and most importantly, HOME. Artistic Director, Dr. Wrenn Goodrum adapted the play from L. Frank Baum’s book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

In OZ, actors ask children in the audience to join them onstage as munchkins, talking trees, poppies and more. The audience may also join in the fun from their seats by waving cornstalks, dancing in their seats and participating. Parents are welcomed to take photos as their children get into the ACT onstage.

FREE Pre-show activities for youth begin thirty minutes before every performance. Activities include ‘Learn how to do the Munchkin and the Ozian dance as well as making cornstalks and poppies to use during the play.’ The pre-show activities are led by actors in the production.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ROLE OF DOROTHY IS DOUBLE-CAST. If you are coming to see one of these actors, please make sure your make your reservation for one of their performance dates. Megan Bruh will perform the role of Dorothy on November 7th at 7pm, November 8th at 4pm, November 15th at 1pm and 4pm.

Madison Pinto will perform the role of Dorothy on November 8th at 1pm, November 9th at 3pm, November 14th at 7pm, November 16 at 3pm. See you at The Wonderful Wizard of Oz!!!
